Mineral-Rich Nettles Infusion
A mineral-rich, deeply nourishing herbal tea made by steeping dried stinging nettles in hot water for several hours.
Prep Time1 minute min
Steep Time4 hours hrs
- 1 cup stinging nettles herb
- 1 quart boiling water *
Steep Tea: Add the dried nettles to a glass mason jar, then pour in the hot water.
Cover & Infuse: Secure the lid and let it steep at room temperature for 4-12 hours (overnight works best).
Strain & Enjoy: Use a cheesecloth or metal strainer to strain the infusion into a cup or another jar.
Reuse: You can re-steep the same nettles up to two more times before composting.
*You shouldn't boil water too hot when making infusion tea because using water that is too hot can "burn" the tea leaves, extracting too many bitter tannins and ruining the delicate flavor profile
Drink infusion within 24 hours of making. Or put in the fridge to last up to 48 hours.
